Following the traditional “lighting of the lamp” by Dr. Landgrebe (CTO of Hirschvogel Holding GmbH), Sunita B. Kalyani (Chairperson of Kalyani Thermal Systems Ltd. and Director of HKI), Baba Kalyani (CMD of the Kalyani Group), Detlef Lumm (CEO of HKI) and K. S. Ajmani (Executive Director of Kalyani Thermal Systems Ltd. and HKI), Mr. Detlef Lumm welcomed the guests and praised the outstanding collaboration in the joint venture.

Following speeches held by Dr. Dirk Landgrebe, Baba Kalyani and Karam Ajmani, and following the official inauguration ceremony with the cutting of the ribbon, the guests had the opportunity to see various machining processes and production facilities in action for the manufacture of CV joints.

Following a traditional Indian feast, Corporate Sales Director, Mr. Armin Ihle, presented the spectrum of Hirschvogel products and technologies. HKI provides sophisticated forgings for the Indian market, such as pinions, hollow shafts, camshafts and injector bodies. In addition to the manufacture of CV joints that is currently underway, plans are in place for commencing production of cold forged transmission shafts in the near future.

The feedback from the guests was highly positive and encouraging. The customers value our outstanding commitment and the immense experience of both joint venture partners.

Following the celebrations, a meeting of the HKI supervisory board took place. At this meeting, as in the celebratory speeches before, the wish was expressed by both joint venture partners to continue the good collaboration. Furthermore, the executive management of HKI was advised to begin planning work for the new plant in Baramati.
